Privacy, refunds and the honest bits
This page is written in plain English on purpose. If anything here is unclear, email us and a human will answer.
Who we are
This site and the guide are sold by Grow More Services L.L.C-FZ, Meydan Grandstand, 6th Floor, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (License 2425146.01), which is the data controller for anything you give us here. The guide is written by Alex Morton.
What we collect
If you sign up for the free checklist, we keep your email address and the region you chose so we can send it to you and, afterwards, a short series of notes from Alex. It is stored in our Stripe account, which we also use for payments. Every email has an unsubscribe link and unsubscribing removes you straight away.
If you buy the guide, our payment provider handles your card details. We never see your full card number. We receive your email address and what you bought, so we can deliver the file and honour refunds.
We don't sell or share your details with anyone else. We use ordinary, privacy-respecting analytics to see which pages people read. You can ask us to delete everything we hold about you at any time.
Refunds
The full terms are on the terms page.
If the guide isn't for you, email us within 30 days of buying and we'll refund you in full. You don't have to give a reason and you don't have to fill in a form. Refunds go back to the card you paid with and usually appear within five working days.
Medical disclaimer
The Calm Before is written by Alex Morton, a parent. She is not a midwife, doctor or other clinician. The guide and this website share her experience and summarise publicly available guidance from organisations including the NHS, Tommy's, NCT, the Lullaby Trust, ACOG and the AAP, correct as far as we know at the time of writing.
Nothing here is medical advice, and nothing here replaces your own midwife, doctor or maternity unit, who know you and your baby. Guidance varies between countries and hospitals. If you have any concern about your health or your baby's, contact your care team. If something feels wrong, call them now rather than waiting until morning. In an emergency, call 999 in the UK or 911 in the US.
